6.10pm Pointless Celebrities: Comic Relief Special BBC1 - Armstrong and Miller are reunited as the latter guests on the former's quiz show as he teams with Death in Paradise co-star Danny John Jules on this special version of Pointless made to raise money for Comic Relief. Also starring are Fast Show friends Paul Whitehouse and Charlie Higson, stand-ups Ed Byrne and Shappi Khorsandi as well as Alan Partridge's David Schneider and comedian and actress Andi Osho.
8.15pm The Cube ITV - Philip Schofield ushers in the return of this terrifying game show as more contestants attempt to beat The Cube and go on to win a large sum of money. This task was previously thought impossible until Mo Farrah won last year and raised quite a nice sum for his charity.
8.00pm Meteor Strike: Fireball from Space Channel 4 - Documentary covering the meteorite crash at Russia's Ural mountains and featuring unseen footage of the event as well as comments from astrophysicists about why this happened in the first place.
9.00pm Mayday BBC1 - After a village's May Queen goes missing speculation falls on who may have had a hand in her disappearance as several male villagers start to act suspiciously. As the drama draws on four of the central characters start to suspect that someone they love had something to do with fourteen year old Hattie's disappearance. This five-part drama stars Sophie Okonedo, Lesley Manville and Aidan Gillen and Continues every night at 9pm until Thursday.
9.00pm The Truth About Meteors: A Horizon Special BBC2 - A second meteorite programme this one focusing on what makes up meteorites and asteroids as well as what danger they pose to us today.
10.00pm Mock the Week Looks Back at... Health BBC2 - The start of a series of themed compilation shows featuring clips from past episodes of the popular satirical quiz show.
9.00pm Broadchurch ITV1 - This new eight part drama stars David Tenant as Alec Hardy a veteran DC who comes to a small seaside community in attempt to live a quiet life only to find himself the head of a major investigation after an 11 year old boy is found dead. Olivia Coleman co-stars as Ellie Miller the woman who was promised Hardy's job and the two form an alliance of sorts as they try to uncover the secrets of the townsfolk. Co-starring Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan, Arthur Darvill, Pauline Quirke and Vicky McClure, Chris Chibnall's drma really looks like it could be ITV's next big success.
9.00pm The Flying Scotsman: A Rail Romance BBC2 - Documentary charting the 90 year history of The Flying Scotsman train featuring plenty of archive footage to tell the tale.
9.00pm The Crash BBC3 - Two part drama inspired by true events which opens with a car crash involving several characters before going back in time to see how they ended up being part of the crash in the first place. The Crash features Coronation Street's Sacha Parkinson and Waterloo Road's Georgia Henshaw as two of the victims and will conclude next week.
9.00pm 16 Kids and Counting Channel 4 - Documentary following the daily struggles of seven of Britain's biggest families.
10.00pm Bluestone 42 BBC3 - Controversial sitcom focusing on a group of bomb disposal experts clearing IEDs in Afghanistan. The show is created by Miranda writers Richard Hurt and James Cary and stars Green Wing's Oliver Chris and Hustle's Kelly Adams in the lead roles.
10.30pm The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret Fox - The long-awaited second series of the comedy, which originally aired on More 4, starring Arrested Development's David Cross as a soft drinks salesman who always seems to do the wrong things.
10.35pm The Matt Lucas Awards BBC1 - Lucas returns with another series of his comic awards shows in which he allows three guests to give nominations for a certain topic that he picks at random with this week's line-up consisting of Robert Webb, Ardal O''Hanlon and Adil Ray.
9.00pm America's Poor Kids BBC2 - A look at child poverty in America from the eyes of the young people themselves as they find themselves hunting for cans along train tracks and moving from motel to motel. Jezz Neumann's film focuses on how the financial crisis has caused a generation to be disenfranchised with life and in particular the American dream.
9.00pm Michael Grade and The World's Oldest Joke BBC4 - As part of BBC4's comedy season, Michael Grade explores why a joke is funny in the first place and tries to track down the oldest joke ever told.
10.00pm Parks and Recreation BBC4 - Amy Poehler stars as parks and recreation deputy director Leslie Knope in this hit US comedy which has taken four years to make it to the UK. BBC4 will be showing the programme in double bills starting with tonight's two offerings in which Leslie attempts to build a park on the site of a derelict pit.
10.00pm Russell Brand's Give It Up Gig For Comic Relief BBC3 - Russell Brand hosts a star-studded charity event in aid of Comic Relief featuring stand-up from Jimmy Carr, Noel Fielding, Jason Manford and Eddie Izzard plus music from Kasabian, Noel Gallagher and Emeli Sande.
10.35pm Anna & Katy Channel 4 - Sketch show involving Lead Balloon's Anna Crilly and Not Going Out's Katy Wix as the pair spoof popular TV programmes including a Great British Bake Off parody entitled Rice Britannia.
7.00pm Comic Relief's Big Chat with Graham Norton BBC3 - Graham Norton attempts to make money for Comic Relief by asking the most ever questions on a chat show in this one-off event. His guests include Ronnie Corbett, Elle MacPherson, Warwick Davis and Russell Tovey while the event itself is set to go into the early hours of Friday morning.
9.00pm How to Get To Heaven with the Hutteries BBC2 - Lynne Alleway's film focuses on the religious group known as the Hutteries a Christian group who believe that living communally and away from 'the world' is the path to heaven.
9.00pm What Destroyed the Hindenburg? Channel 4 - Documentary that sees Jem Stansfield discover exactly why The Hinderburg crashed and puts all of the various theories to the test.
9.00pm The Incredible Mr Goodwin Watch - British daredevil Jonathan Goodwin hopes to emulate his hero Harry Houdini by participating in a number of incredibly dangerous stunts.
10.00pm Gogglebox Channel 4 - A show in which normal folks give their opinions on the week's TV from the comfort of their own living rooms.
10.00pm The Ballad of Mott the Hoople BBC4 - A biopic of the band that had a massive hit in the 1970s with 'All the Young Dudes' before splitting up completely in 1974. This documentary is preceded by a compilation of performances from British rock groups taken from shows such as Top of the Pops and The Old Grey Whistle Test.
