Bill Bailey, Tinie Tempah and Abbey Clancy to feature in New iPlayer exclusives


Victoria Jaye, Head of TV content or BBC iPlayer has announced a number o new commissions to kick off 2015.

Nine original comedy shorts will go live on Friday 13th February to mark Valentine's Day. These include Love Song in which Bill Bailey reimagines one of his most popular songs in the form of a spoof music video. Matt Berry follows up 'Lone Wolf' with another mockumentary this time entitled 'Wild Love'. Meanwhile, Limmy creates a new character in 'A Wee Video for the Lassies.'

Other comedians involved in these shorts include Sara Pascoe, Nick Helm, Modern Toss, Katy Wix, Russ Abbot and Romesh Ranganathan.

Elsewhere Tinie Tempah will host an iPlayer exlusive Private View of Alexander McQueen’s forthcoming exhibition ‘Savage Beauty’ – a collaboration with the V&A. Abbey Clancy will also return to BBC iPlayer, taking an in-depth look at London Fashion week 2015 – a collaboration with the British Fashion Council.

Finally, following on from the success of Original Drama Shorts in 2014, BBC iPlayer will offer a second season for three shorts in collaboration with BBC Three. The writers and directors of Oakwood, Playing Ball and Is This Thing On? will all be receiving their first ever TV drama credit.
