The challenges left in the wake of Broadwater Farm still resonate 30 years on. Many of those challenges land at the door of local MP David Lammy. He runs one of the busiest MP's advice surgeries in the country and never knows who will come through his door next. There is Ruth, the heartbroken mother desperate to find out what has happened to her missing son, Kofi, whose entire family is packed into a one bedroom flat and whose wife is dying of liver cancer, and Koli, the feisty young Muslim mum who is fighting for her son's life-saving operation.
