Following its successful debut as a three-part drama, In The Flesh was recommissioned for a six episode series for BBC Three. All nine episodes from the first and second series will be available to own on BBC DVD and Blu-ray for the first time from 9th June and are available to pre-order from www.bbcshop.co.uk.
Meanwhile the first series of recent BBC ONE drama Happy Valley gets released on the same day. Catherine Cawood (Sarah Lancashire) is the sergeant on duty when flustered and nervous accountant Kevin Weatherill (Steve Pemberton) comes into her West Yorkshire police station to report a crime.
Reticent about the details, Kevin loses his nerve. The crime he was trying to report was his own brain-child, a plot to kidnap his boss's daughter and keep enough of the ransom to put his kids through private school. And now local drug king-pin Ashley Cowgill (Joe Armstrong) has put the plan into action, and Kevin's fantasy has become a grim and dangerous reality. Happy Valley has gripped viewers on a Tuesday Nights with its grim realism and unexpected twists. Sarah Lancashire steals the show as feisty Catherine, a seemingly fearless policewoman who is still grieving following her young daughter's tragic suicide.
Also coming to DVD this June is ITV's high octane three-part drama Prey. This fast paced fugitive story stars John Simm as Policeman Marcus Farrow. Farrow is forced to go in the run when his wife and young son are found dead at his family home. The series was warmly received by viewers and critics and ITV's Peter Fincham was recently quoted saying he'd love to see the series return. Prey will be released on June 2nd

The Following Monday (June 9th) will see the release of Peter Bowker's three-parter From There to Here. The drama series starring Philip Glenister focuses on the focus on the aftermath of the Manchester bombing in the summer of 1996.
