Alma’s Not Normal to return for Series Two

by | Apr 24, 2022 | TV News

BBC Two announced this week that Alma’s not Normal is to return for a series two. Created, written by and starring Sophie Wilan, the series focuses on Boltonian Alma Nuthall and her family of eccentric, unruly women.

The first series has swept the awards list, recently winning Best Scripted Comedy at the RTS Awards and being nominated for three BAFTA TV Awards.

Speaking on the return of the series, Wilan said   “I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to the show – people seem to really love and relate to the Nuthalls which means a lot and to get the chance to continue that story is beyond what I could have hoped for.”

The first series of Alma’s Not Normal is currently available on BBC iPlayer.
