BBC drama is being represented at the Golden Globe Awards. Our favourite here is Luther but we feel it’s unlikely to bag the prestigious gong.

Ben Stephenson, Controller, BBC Drama, says: “BBC Drama’s 10 nominations in today’s Golden Globes reinforces our international reputation and position as the very best producers of drama both at home and across the pond.”

The nominations include:

Best TV Drama Mini-Series for Jane Campion’s Top Of The Lake, Stephen Poliakoff’s Dancing On The Edge and The White Queen

Best Actor in a TV Mini-Series for Idris Elba in Luther and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Dancing On The Edge

Best Actress in a TV Mini-Series for Helena Bonham Carter (Burton And Taylor), Elisabeth Moss (Top Of The Lake) and Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen)

Best Supporting Actress in a TV Mini-Series for Janet McTeer (The White Queen) and Jacqueline Bisset (Top Of The Lake)

The Golden Globes will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday 12th January 2014.
