BBC Three to stick around??

by | Apr 23, 2015 | All, TV News

A lot has been made of BBC Three moving to an online platform. The announcement has led mostly to anger from fans and programme makers and general confusion. However, in an interview in industry magazine Broadcast it would appear the channel could be remaining in its current form for a while yet. BBC Three controller Damian Kavanagh says, “We won’t be rushed. We will do what’s right for our fans, not to satisfy deadlines.

“Once we have the Trust’s final decision, we’ll start doing more online and in social [media], building up to a move online. You simply can’t turn around something as groundbreaking as this overnight.

The news comes as it was recently announced that Family Guy will be moving to ITV2 after its thirteenth season is shown over on BBC Two.
