Broadcast is reporting that Ben Elton’s latest sitcom The Wright Way has been axed by the BBC. The series which starred David Haig was immediately slated by viewers and critics alike for being outdated and a massive flop.

Another of the BBC’s recent attempts at comedy has also been axed. Heading Out penned by Sue Perkins will also not be returning for a second series.  The news comes as the BBC announce a new series from Vicki Pepperdine and Jo Scanlan and a second series of Count Arthur Strong.
