After nine years on BBC Three, hit show Don’t Tell the Bride will make the move to BBC One this summer.
In the six-part new series a couple is given fourteen thousand pounds to pay for their wedding day. The catch is that the entire organisation and managing of the budget has to be done by the groom in just three weeks. As the wedding is organised in secret, the bride and groom are not allowed any contact until the wedding day, while the groom and his best man plan the biggest day of her life, right down to her dress
Now BBC One has commissioned six one hour programmes for an older audience on BBC One. The couples may be older, most have kids, some even have grandkids but how well do they really know each-other? What could possibly go wrong?
The show has been confirmed for a new 8pm slot in June on BBC One.
