Ellen finds a UK home

The hugely popular US talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show is joining ITV2 in 2016 and will kick start the year airing brand new episodes on the channel from Monday 18th January.

Hosted by comedian/actress Ellen DeGeneres the daily talk show features a combination of comedy, celebrity and music guests alongside topical human-interest stories.  To date, the show has won 55 Daytime Emmys including nine for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show.

Airing every weekday at 13.45, the channel will air new episodes of the current series (in line with US air dates).  Highlights from the most recent series which has seen a host of Hollywood A listers pop by include the cast of Star Wars talking about their latest worldwide movie sensation, Presidential Candidate, Hillary Clinton and popular returning guest Justin Bieber revealing all to Ellen.

After what feels like decades of campaigning I’m so excited that my show is on ITV2. I can literally feel my crumpets tingling down in my cockles,” said talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.

Angela Jain, ITV’s Director of Digital Channels and Acquisitions said “We’re over the moon Ellen DeGeneres is joining ITV2 – her daily mix of Hollywood guests, topical comedy and great conversation is a welcome addition to the channel”.



The Ellen DeGeneres Show starts on Monday 18th January on ITV2
