The cast of hit 1990s sketch show Goodness Gracious Me are set to reunite as part of the celebrations for BBC2’s 50th anniversary. Original cast members Meera Syal, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Nina Wadia and Kulvinder Ghir will be providing all new sketches featuring much-loved characters as well as some new faces.

Meanwhile, Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse take a twisted look at the channel in ‘Story of the Twos’. The programme will pastiche some of the channel’s most iconic programmes and personalities and also stars Kevin Eldon and Simon Day.

Dara O’Briain will also be part of the celebrations as he hosts a 90-minute long quiz ‘All About Two.’ Dara will be finding out just how much his contestants know about the channel and he’ll be joined by Pointless’ Richard Osman who’ll provide him with some extra facts and figures.

In addition there will be programmes celebrating the channel’s promotion of new comedy, its most memorable music moments and some of the sporting highlights that have been broadcast on BBC Two.

BBC Two’s 50th anniversary celebrations will occur later in the year.
