The Mirror are reporting that the last of the original cast members of BBC1 crime drama New Tricks Dennis Waterman is to leave the show in 2015.

The article says Waterman misses his old co-stars and that doesn’t feel the new team of Tazmin Outhwaite, Nicholas Lyndrust and Denis Lawson works. Recent ratings for the once mighty crime series appear to agree with the current 11th series suffering from worsening ratings week on week. The article reports that Waterman will appear in the first two episodes of next year’s 12th series before bowing out. Waterman is the last of the original cast members to remain with the show following the departure of James Bolam, Alun Armstrong and Amanda Redman.

New Tricks Continues Monday’s at 9.00pm on BBC ONE.
