Little Britain Abroad, BBC1

Did we like it?

Not as much as the first part.

What was good about it?

• Lou and Andy stole the show, cast away on a desert island where Lou had spelt out in rocks “Help. We are in a bit of a kerfuffle” to attract passing planes and fashioned a wheelchair out of driftwood for Andy. While Lou was away trying to spear food, Andy frolicked and limboed at the buffet of a luxury hotel he found.

• Vicky Pollard’s drug smuggling trial in Thailand where her excuses (involving the bakery counter at Somerfield and hooch) may have resulted in leniency from the judge but her chances were ruined when mum Kelly (Dawn French) turned up and confessed: “She fell in with a bad crowd when she was three.”

• The struggling stenographer as Vicky and Kelly babbled in court.

• Bubbles DeVere trying to impress a Cloisters shop assistant by bragging about her connections to Prince Charles and pretending she received a phone call from Jilly Cooper before squeezing into a purple dress that left nothing to the imagination.

• Mr Man’s attempt to buy a pirate memory game in a Middle Eastern shop

• Sebastian being suspicious about the Prime Minister’s “special relationship” with the US President, with good reason: the PM emerged from the Oval Office with a white stain on his lapel.

What was bad about it?

• The unseemly sketch involving Dudley and his Thai bride Ting Tong honeymooning in a caravan in Germany with Dudley’s brother (Peter Kay) and his Russian bride (Julie Davis).

• Retarded Anne’s audience with the Pope.

• Kenny Craig’s encounter with more successful hypnotist Paul McKenna

• Blanche Tuckertuck from FatFighters US.
