NEWS – The BBC confirm Killing Eve return date

The BBC have finally confirmed when BAFTA-Winning drama Killing Eve will return. The series, which has already aired in America, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland will finally get its UK airing when it drops as a full boxset on the BBC iPlayer on Saturday 8th June. The series, which stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer will also air weekly on Saturday nights from the 8th on BBC One.

This second season starts with the aftermath of the first which ended with Oh’s Eve stabbing and severely wounding Comer’s Villanelle. It also is the first for new showrunner Emerald Fernall who takes over from Pheobe Waller-Bridge. Over the course of the eight episodes Eve tries to track down Villanelle put she also faces a new threat from a new female assassin that the team nickname ‘The Ghost’. 

Earlier this year BBCAMERICA confirmed that there would be a third season and the BBC later confirmed they’d secured the rights to show that in 2020.

Killing Eve Returns Saturday 8th June on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
