NEWS: Game of Thrones and The Handmaid’s Tale lead Emmy Nominations

Yesterday, the nominations for the 70th Annual Prime Time Emmy Awards were announced by Samira Wiley and Ryan Eggold. Game of Thrones led the pack with 22 nominations in total whilst The Handmaid’s Tale and Saturday Night Live garnered 21 a piece. This year Netflix also outdid HBO as they scooped the most nominations with 112 to the latter’s 108.

Meanwhile, Sandra Oh made history by becoming the first Asian woman nominated for the Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series category. Below are all the nominations from the main categories with the winners being announced on September 17th at a ceremony co-hosted by Colin Jost and Michael Che.
