HBO has confirmed that they have ordered a third season of Jessie Armstrong’s comedic drama Succession.

The dysfunctional family drama returned for Season 2 last week with solid ratings and critical acclaim. HBO says Season 3 will air sometime in 2020. “We are elated that Succession and its exploration of wealth, power and family has resonated so powerfully with audiences,” said Francesca Orsi, HBO’s drama programming executive vice president. “We cannot wait to see how the complex characters that Jesse Armstrong has created continue to navigate this captivating, ruthless world of the uber-rich. In today’s world where the intersection of politics and media is increasingly prevalent, Succession presents an especially piercing look behind the curtain of this elite, influential, and cutthroat community.

The show’s second season is currently airing Mondays at 9.00pm on Sky Atlantic and NOWTV.
