Parks and Recreation finally finds UK home

Dave have announced they have secured the rights to hit US comedy Parks & Recreation. The series deal with NBCUniversal International Distribution was brokered by UKTV’s Head of Acquisitions, Alexandra Finlay, and includes Seasons 4 to 7 coming to Dave, as well as catch-up on UKTV’s on-demand service, UKTV Play. The series had been shown in the UK in a graveyard slot on BBC Four and four to seven have never been seen in the UK before.

The award-winning comedy series sees Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) and her trusty group of office mates followed around by a documentary crew, offering a quirky look into their everyday lives at the Parks and Recreation department in Pawnee, Indiana.  Leslie’s passion for Pawnee and her never-ending efforts to better the department make for some comical situations.  Season 4 picks up with Leslie running for city council while Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) has his hands full with the women in his life.  Meanwhile, the rest of the clan is left to deal with the everyday toils of office romances and politics.

Parks and Recreation begins on Monday 27th July on Dave.
