Peter Capaldi’s Doctor Who Costume Revealed

Today the BBC revealed the new look that Peter Capaldi’s title character will sport in the upcoming series of Doctor Who.

Capaldi’s Doctor will wear a dark blue Crombie coat with red lining, dark blue trousers, white shirt and black Dr Marten shoes.

Capaldi said of his character’s new outfit, “He’s woven the future from the cloth of the past. Simple, stark, and back to basics. No frills, no scarf, no messing, just 100 per cent Rebel Time Lord.”

Doctor Who’s executive producer Steven Moffat added, “new Doctor, new era, and of course new clothes. Monsters of the universe, the vacation is over – Capaldi is suited and booted and coming to get you.

The Doctor’s new look has been created by the show’s costume designer Howard Burden.

It has previously been revealed that the Capaldi’s first full episode as the character will air later in the year and will be directed by Ben Wheatley.
