Matt's back with Dawn Glen and Mo Walker to review the high-octane British spy thriller Black Doves on Netflix. Slightly less high-octane but still a spy thriller, The Agency over on Paramount+ as well as the high concept US drama Mrs Davis and true crime drama The...
Set against the backdrop of London at Christmas, BLACK DOVES is a sharp, action-filled, and heartfelt story of friendship and sacrifice. It follows Helen Webb (Keira Knightley), a quick-witted, down-to-earth, dedicated wife and mother — and professional spy. For 10...

Multi award winning actors Ben Whishaw (This is Going to Hurt, A Very British Scandal and Paddington) and Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley) board new spy thriller, BLACK DOVES, alongside previously announced Keira Knightley. The six-part series, which began...
Yesterday brought the news that BBC Two have given The Fall a third series. Obviously we reported the news, but it was through gritted teeth. Do we honestly need a third series of this, or more likely is it the BBC's attempt to capitalize on the popularity of...
In the latest podcast we discuss Sky's glossy new medical drama Critical, find out why Gary is enjoying The Casual Vacancy and Matt hates painting!
Despite all the criticisms ITV have commissioned a third series of Broadchurch. Little is known about the third series but David Tennant and Olivia Colman have signed on to reprise their roles as Hardy and Miller.
When Broadchurch first returned I bemoaned it's complete unnecessary-ness. Now, we're two episode from its conclusion and I've never felt so disconnected with a piece of drama as I have with this. It just all feels half arsed, and pointless. If Chibnall wants his...
Gary goes on strike but we discuss The Good Wife, Broadchurch and whether Fortitude lived up to its hype!
In our latest podcast we praise Channel 4's Cyberbully and Last Tango in Halifax. Wonder why Get Your Act Together even happened and grow tiered of Broadchurch.
In this week's podcast we shower praise on Last Tango in Halifax, wonder what's happened to Broadchurch and struggle with Crims.
There was little to no press before this series of Broadchurch. The one thing writer Chris Chibnall did tease was that it viewers could expect 'a very different kind of story.' He wasn't wrong, because where Broadchurch was once a reliable, tension packed drama full...
In the first podcast of 2015, we discuss Christmas viewing habits, the returns of The Hotel and The Undateables and have the first argument of the new year as Broadchurch ruffles some feathers.
So earlier in the week I wrote a really rather scathing review about the highly anticipated return of ITV's Broadchurch. I wasn't alone in my disappointment as people complained about the lack of action, poor sound quality and over the top dramatic music presumably...
The Guardian have revealed the overnight ratings for ITV's Broadchurch. So secret was this first episode of series 2 that no one from the press, cast or anyone on the moon were able given details of the full plot. As it turned out the plot saw the Latimer attend...
As the second draws closer, ITV are slowly releasing more to coincide with the anticipated of Broadchurch. We know David Tennant and Olivia Colman will return as DI Alec Hardy and DS Ellie Miller but the channel is keeping plot details a closely guarded secret. ...
Every so often, a program comes along that makes you want to stand up and applaud when it finishes. The Honourable Woman more than deserved that accolade. While the series as a whole was not without its glitches, the finale was sublime. Maggie Gyllenhaal gave British...
I’m afraid if you came to this review hoping for a gentle hand-holding guide as to what exactly just happened, you came to the wrong place. I know that Ephra’s dead, along with Burnt Face Man. I know Monica is the big fat spider in the web, and I know that...
I began this episode in mute horror at poor Nessa having to endure another rape. Although, it was helpful to see examples of rape happening in all sorts of situations, while I imagine many Western women will never be raped by a terrorist who has kidnapped them, having...
The body count continued to rise this week, but luckily we now know when a character is for it. If they put their whole hand on a door panel, that’s it, curtains! While it was incredibly brave of the lecturer to speak out against the University’s racism, you knew it...
Well that was a fun episode! In all seriousness, we did, finally get some answers. And some pretty big revelations. Question now being, how much does Nessa know? Let’s start with that brilliant dinner party argument that so bored Hugh. It was basically how my twitter...
I do love a happy ending! Which is a shame, as we’re clearly not going to get one in The Honourable Woman. My brain is trying to make terrible puns about Nathaniel making tasty sausages, so apologies, but that was a grim, if not unexpected, scene. To be honest, I knew...
In our first podcast since The World Cup finished we discuss the weird and wonderful programmes we've discovered during all the sports and we finally unveil the first 'postcards from the eels'!
Given the recent news events in the Middle East, I’d like to start this review with a quick disclaimer. I do not know enough about the ongoing conflict to hold a view either way. As such, I will be commenting solely on what happens in The Honourable Woman, any good...
