Blue Lights creators Adam Patterson and Declan Lawn have been commissioned to write a brand new drama for the BBC.

D-Notice is a British political thriller set in the world of investigative journalism. Not many people know what a D-notice is. But Declan and Adam have some experience of this mechanism which allows the government to advise journalists about national security. Now they’ve come up with a surprising drama that looks at how truth and power speak to one another. • Declan and Adam are both former investigative journalists who met whilst working on the BBC’s Panorama programme before moving into drama writing.

Filming will take place in Belfast and London. More details will be announced in due course.
