9.00pm Below The Surface BBC4 – Second series of the Danish thriller. June al-Baqee, a newly returned foreign fighter who fought against ISIS in Syria, is kidnapped. Only Nørgaard, a former police Terror Task Force chief currently on leave, seems to believe she’s really in danger.

8.00pm Dragons’ Den BBC2 – Sara Davies, founder of Crafter’s Companion, is a new addition to the panel on the business ideas contest, joining returning dragons Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman and Tej Lalvani in putting more would-be entrepreneurs’ ideas to the test.

8.00pm Animal Rescue Live: Supervet Special Channel 4 – Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, Steve Jones and Kate Quilton return to try to rehome as many animals as possible from rescue shelters across the country and also ask viewers to help raise much-needed funds to help the thousands of homeless animals. To kick off the week of programmes, actor and ex-Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp and his animal-loving wife and former pop star Shirlie Holliman join Noel, Steve and Kate at Raystede Animal Shelter in Lewes, East Sussex, to lend a helping hand. Continues All Week at 8.00pm.

9.00pm When Bridges Collapse: The Genoa Disaster BBC2 – On August 14,2018, the Ponte Morandi in Genoa collapsed, sending 27 vehicles plummeting to the valley below with the loss of 43 lives. This investigation into the disaster tells the stories of people on the bridge that day and examines what caused the road viaduct to fail so catastrophically.

9.00pm The Great Train Robbery: The Hidden Tapes Channel 4 – With access to tapes that have been hidden for over 40 years, this documentary goes behind the legend of the 1963 heist to uncover the true story of the crime of the century.

9.00pm Succession Sky Atlantic – Return of the critically-acclaimed drama. Kendall tries to make amends with his dad, and Logan gets stark advice from his banker. Meanwhile, Shiv wonders if her father is playing mind games.

10.00pm Eaten By an Escalator: When Machines Fight Back Five – Documentary scrutinising people’s darkest fears surrounding escalators by take a look at calamities involving the moving staircases and hearing from those who have been victims of accidents Plus, the programme debunks some myths and assesses the safety of these machines with industry experts in an attempt to allay widespread fears surrounding the dangers of escalators.


9.00pm Caught on Camera – Neighbours from Hell ITV – Documentary looking at disputes between neighbours that have been recorded on home surveillance equipment, featuring conflicts that have erupted over noise, parking rows, or disputes over where to put the rubbish.

10.00pm Kathy Burke: All Woman Channel 4 – The actress talks to women across the UK about their life experiences, beginning with a look at attitudes to beauty, including a visit to a celebrity plastic surgeon and an encounter with a 20-year-old undergoing breast enhancement. Featuring contributions from Love Island contestant Megan Barton Hanson, photographer Rankin and grime artist Nadia Rose.


8.00pm The Interior Design Masters BBC2 – Hosted by Fearne Cotton.

9.00pm Deep Water ITV – Six-part drama based on the Windermere novels by Paula Daly, following the lives of three women and the personal struggles each of them face. Over-stretched, working mother Lisa never lives up to the expectations she sets herself, and cannot help but compare herself to her female friends, Kate and Roz. Behind closed doors however, each of the women struggle with the pressures to keep up the image of having the ‘perfect life”. Starring Anna Friel, Rosalind Eleazar and Sinead Keenan star.

9.00pm When Cruises Go Horribly Wrong and Other Travel Nightmares Five – Documentary taking a look at some of the most terrifying disasters in recent history, from horrifying dramas at sea to one of the worst air disasters in British aviation history, using eye witness testimony and footage taken by those involved telling the human stories behind the events. A cruise ship sailing off the coast of Norway is caught in a dangerous storm, and a passenger witnesses the casing of an airplane engine being ripped off mid-flight.

10.35pm The Warwick Uni Rape Chat Scandal BBC1 – Documentary about the scandal of online rape threats made by students in 2018, featuring contributions made from those involved in the case and examining the decision to allow some of the men involved back on campus, despite the original intention to bar them for 10 years.


8.00pm Fugitives BBC1 – Documentary following the work of police extradition units in the UK and Europe, following officers seeking out people fleeing from justice.

9.00pm A Very Yorkshire Brothel ITV – Documentary.

9.00pm 24 Hour Baby Hospital More4 – Documentary going behind closed doors with parents and staff at The Rotunda in Dublin – the world’s longest-running maternity hospital, where more than a million Dubliners have been born. Accompanied by her mother Kay, Nicola arrives at the labour ward, hoping for the safe arrival of baby number four, Larkin.
