9.00pm 54 Hours: The Gladbeck Hostage Crisis BBC4 – Two-part compelling German drama based on the true story of an unprecedented hostage crisis which shocked Germany in the summer of 1988. Two robbers hold up a bank and demand free passage from the police while taking bank employees hostage.

9.00pm Family Guy ITV2 – After falling in love with a woman called Jess, Brian receives the devastating news that Jess has cancer. Shocked by her diagnosis, Brian proposes marriage.

9.30pm American Dad ITV2 – When the whole family forgets Father’s Day, they promise to make it up to Stan the next day. But, using a memory neutraliser from the CIA, Stan makes his family repeat the day over and over until it’s perfect.

10.00pm Celebrity Call Centre for Stand Up for Cancer Channel 4 – Eight celebrities join forces in a Stand Up To Cancer special, manning the phones in a unique call centre where the Great British public can phone in for advice on any dilemma, large or small, with no topic off-limits. Kimberley Walsh, Georgia Toffolo, Mo Gilligan, Joel Dommett, Kim Woodburn, Louie Spence, Rachel Riley and Tyger Drew-Honey are the all-star agony aunts and uncles advising on everything from how to get through a break-up, to extra-marital affairs, and the perils of online dating. In the process, they also open up about their own life experiences, and the challenges and heartache they’ve faced.

10.00pm Emma Willis: Delivering Babies W – Emma experiences the training process on a maternity ward, working four shifts a week, day and night, to discover what makes it one of the toughest, but most rewarding careers possible.

9.00pm Martin Lewis: 10 Things Your Kids Need to Know ITV – Martin Lewis presents a countdown of the 10 issues that he feels are central to young people understanding money matters. Featuring family and young person case studies, he reveals how to future-proof their finances and meets employment experts to explore the career options with the most potential.

9.15pm Inside The Tower of London Five – Four-part, access-all-areas documentary series about London’s iconic landmark, its history and secrets, and the people who live and work there.

9.00pm Trevor McDonald and the Killer Nurse ITV – Trevor McDonald investigates the case of serial child killer Beverley Allitt and reflects on how it was reported at the time. A combination of archive from the time, interviews with victims and expert analysis will piece together this tragic and shocking story.


8.00pm 100 Days to Victory BBC2 – Two-part documentary charting how the Allies turned the tide in the final months of conflict to win WWI.

9.00pm Berlin Station More4 – Richard Armitage and Rhys Ifans star in this espionage drama series that revolves around the lives of the men and women working at the CIA station in modern-day Berlin.

10.00pm Sally4ever Sky Atlantic – Say hello to love, sex and confusion in Julia Davis’s comedy following the chaos caused by one woman’s sexual reawakening.


7.00pm Stand Up for Cancer Channel 4 – Adam Hills, Alan Carr and Maya Jama host a star-studded night of fundraising. Joining them are a raft of famous faces, all coming together to raise funds for vital cancer research. Celebrity Gogglebox returns; Michael Bublé and James Corden star in Carpool Karaoke for SU2C, and there are sketches, appearances and performances from a host of names including John Legend, Liam Gallagher, Louis Tomlinson, Little Mix, Gareth Southgate, The Muppets, Stephen Merchant, Gary Lineker, Rita Ora, Sharon Horgan, Matthew McConaughey, Jon Hamm, Davina McCall, David Mitchell, Kate Beckinsale, Chris O’Dowd, Jamie Oliver, Tom Walker, Backstreet Boys and many more. Plus Travel Man’s Richard Ayoade and Bake Off’s Noel Fielding are on hand all night to explain the incredible science funded by SU2C. 9.00pm Made in Great Britain BBC2 – Documentary series exploring how craft and manufacturing skills have shaped Great Britain. In the first episode, the makers experience Sheffield’s transformation into an industrial powerhouse known as ‘Steel City’, famous throughout the world for making high-quality steel and cutlery.
