9.00pm Piers Morgan’s Life Stories ITV – A conversation with Joan Collins.

9.00pm The Handmaid’s Tale Channel 4 – The fourth season of the drama based on the novel from Margrett Atwood. On the run, June and the fugitive Handmaids seek refuge on a farm. In Gilead, Aunt Lydia reels from the loss of 86 children on Angels’ Flight. The combative Waterfords, in custody in Toronto, learn of June’s feat.

9.00pm Murder at the Cottage Sky Crime – Investigative documentary by Jim Sheridan. A town in West Cork is rocked when Sophie Toscan du Plantier is murdered and journalist Ian Bailey is arrested at the scene.


7.30pm Lose a Stone In 4 Weeks for Summer Channel 5 – Ruth Langsford investigates the best ways to lose weight in a hurry, while members of the public take on some of the most extreme diets to lose a stone in a month under the supervision of Dr Amir Khan.

7.30pm The Cruise BBC Four – A repeat of the landmark BBC docu-series that launched the career of cruise ship singer Jane MacDonald. Airs all week at 7.30pm.

8.00pm Devon & Cornwall Channel 4 – Fourth series of the documentary that profiles the seaside area.

9.00pm Growing Up Gay W –  Olly Alexander explores why members of the LGBT+ community are more vulnerable to mental health issues, as he opens up about his own long-term battle with depression. Olly joins young people on their own personal journeys as they battle issues that parallel his own, from homophobic bullying to eating and anxiety disorders, and questions what can be done to address them.

10.00pm Rick & Morty E4 – The animated comedy returns with Rick hosting a dinner for his ocean-dwelling nemesis, while Morty gets the wine. With the guest voice of Jim Gaffigan.

10.30pm Harley Quinn E4 – Return of the animated comedy, with the voice of Kaley Cuoco.

11.00pm Birdgirl E4 – Birdgirl is named CEO of Sebben and Sebben and struggles to find a work/superhero balance. Animated comedy about superheroes working for a law firm, with the voice of Paget Brewster.


9.00pm Betty Sky Comedy – Second season of the comedy that follows a group of female skaters in New York. Kirt’s on a quest, Camille’s got flow, Indigo’s grocery gig is out, and Honeybear and Ash are all in.

10.00pm Philly DA BBC Four – Documentary following veteran civil rights lawyer-turned-district attorney Larry Krasner as he adopts a radical approach to criminal justice in Philadelphia.


9.00pm The Gulf Alibi – After losing her memory in a car crash that killed her husband, New Zealand detective Jess Savage resolves to bring those responsible to justice. However, while recovering, she hears that 11-year-old Nathan Baum has miraculously reappeared after vanishing five years earlier. Jess had worked the original missing person’s case and is determined not to be kept from the investigation now. Thriller, starring Kate Elliott.

10.00pm Billion Pound Cruise More4 – Daily life on the mammoth cruise ship the Symphony of the Seas, which boasts 20 pools and jacuzzis, two surf simulators, a rock-climbing wall, an ice rink, a basketball court and a mini golf course. It’s all hands on deck for the crew members as 6,680 passengers arrive for the holiday of a lifetime.


8.00pm Kennington Palace: Life Behind Closed Doors Channel 5 – An intimate look at the palace that has been a private home to the royal family for more than 300 years. It’s where Queen Victoria spent her childhood, Princess Diana brought up her sons William and Harry, and where Prince William and his family still live today.

9.00pm Diana ITV – Feature-length documentary marking the 60th birthday of Diana, Princess of Wales. It follows her journey from nursery assistant to global superstar. Told in the present tense, the film draws on archive footage and rarely heard testimony to illustrate the most iconic moments of the Princess’ life.

9.00pm Escape to the Chateau: Make Do and Mend Channel 4 – Dick and Angel Strawbridge help Kate and Erik restore their 150-year-old sash window and turn their small landing into a beautiful space for all the family that not only looks amazing and brings the past back to life, but saves thousands of pounds. Angel reveals the art of creating repeat patterns on fabric as a unique solution to Jo and family’s desire to display their precious vintage family photos in something other than a frame. Dick solves Suzanna and Luke’s conundrum of how to turn a treasured wardrobe into a showcase for shoes, by designing ingenious shelving inspired by a visit to the kitchen.

9.00pm Love Island: All the Feels ITV2 – Iain Stirling takes a nostalgic look back at some of the most romantic moments in the Love Island villa.


9.00pm Glastonbury in the 90s BBC Two – The story of Glastonbury in the 1990s, arguably the festival’s redefining decade. It was the era television cameras came, dance music conquered and the festival changed beyond all recognition. Told through archival material from the time and by those who were there, it’s voiced by Skin from Skunk Anansie, who were the last headliners of the decade.
