7.40pm The X Factor ITV1 – The first round of Live performances billed as the longest X Factor episode ever featuring a surprise for fans.

10.10pm Piers Morgan’s Life Stories ITV1 – The journalist chats to Ex-EastEnder Barbara Windsor 


8.00pm Undercover Boss USA Channel 4 – American version of the reality series where a boss  goes undercover in his company to fix issues and meet his staff. 

9.00pm Single Father BBC1 – 4-part drama starring David Tennant as a man who struggles to raise his four children when his wife dies suddenly. Also starring Surrane Jones.

9.00pm Louis Theroux: Law & Disorder in Lagos BBC2 –  Louis follows  the local gangs, the so-called Area Boys, as they patrol their turf, clash with local rivals and keep the peace in a brutal and haphazard fashion. He gets to know the rich and glamorous Area Boy leader MC, a former street youth himself, who has now become a friend of the most powerful men in the city. On the side of the law, Louis rides with KAI, the government’s Kick Against Indiscipline paramilitary task force, as they storm different city districts.

9.00pm Thone: Sleepyhead Sky1 – 3-part adaptation of Mark Billingham’s bestseller starring David Morrissey as DCI Thorne on the hunt for a brutal killer who likes to lock up his victims

10.00pm The Only Way is Essex ITV2 –  reality series focusing on a group of Essex characters. The drama unfolds against the backdrop of nail bars, wine bars, flash cars and designer gear. Each episode is filmed just a few days before transmission, so the cast will discover what has been going on in their world by watching the show.


5.30pm Jamie’s 30 Minute Meals Channel 4 – Daytime series where Jamie Oliver shows how to make nutritious and  tasty meals in just half and hour.

8.00pm Wild Britain with Ray Mears ITV1 –  Ray Mears travels all over Great Britain, sharing his knowledge of field craft and his passion for wildlife. Mears and a team of experts reveal the hidden world of the creatures that live just beyond our doorstep.

8.00pm Time Team: The Real Vikings Channel 4 –  Tony Robinson, Mick Aston and Phil Harding follow digs around the UK that uncover a vast array of archaeology and provide fascinating insights into our Viking past.

9.00pm Whitechapel ITV1 – Second series of the crime drama starring Rupert Penry-Jones.  DI Chandler, DC Miles and the team investigate a series of brutal killings and maimings. Local history expert Buchan suggests that London once more has a copycat killer – only this time the murders mirror killings by the Kray twins in the 1960s. Miles and Chandler refuse to believe Buchan’s theory since the Krays are both dead – but is Buchan on the right path?

9.00pm The World’s Strictest Parents BBC3 – Second series of the series that sees British Teenagers experience a new kind of discipline. This episode sees two wayward teens travel to New Jersey USA.  

9.00pm A History of Horror with Mark Gatiss BBC4 –  Series in which Mark Gatiss celebrates the greatest achievements of horror cinema. He begins by exploring the golden age of Hollywood horror, from the late 1920s until the 1940s, the era of Lon Chaney, Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff. Mark explains just how daring and pioneering these films were, and traces how horror pictures evolved during this period, from camp and subversive to dark and perverse, before a final flourish with the psychological horror of RKO Pictures’ films.

10.00pm What Happened Next? Five – Catching up with Big Brother 11 winner Josie Gibson and John James. 


7.30pm Euro 2012 Qualifiers ITV1 – England v Montenegro

10.35pm Tom Daley: The Diver and his Dad BBC1 – Documentary following Tom Daley, the 16-year-old from Plymouth who is diving for Gold in the Commonwealth Games, as he defends his World, European and British Championship titles, as well as sitting 9 GCSEs at Plymouth College. Also featured is his father, Rob, who famously crashed the 2009 World Championship Press Conference requesting a hug from his son, and who is facing a personal challenge of his own.

10.30pm Lip Service BBC3 –  Drama series which follows the interwoven love lives of three gay women living in Glasgow.


8.00pm Midsommer Murders ITV1 

9.00pm Wonderland BBC2 – Third series of the quirky documentary series showcasing the unusual. The first episode focuses on the first boys team preparing to take part in the National Cheerleading Championship in Coventry.

10.45pm Film 2010 with Claudia Winkelman BBC1  


7.30pm World’s Most Extreme Airports Five 

9.00pm Have I Got News For You BBC1 – With guest host Sherlock star Bennidict  Cumberbatch.

9.30pm Reggie Perrin BBC1 – Second series of the remake of the 1970’s comedy with Martin Clunes in the lead role.

9.00pm Inside Nature’s Giants Channel 4 – One-off special of the Animal Autopsy series dissecting the Giant Squid. 

10.00pm Specsavers Crime Thriller Awards 2010 ITV3 


9.00pm Davina McCall: A Comedy Roast Channel 4 –  Jimmy Carr hosts the proceedings as Davina takes centre stage to endure an evening of insults and friendly abuse. The comedic talent ripping into Davina includes Rich Hall, Debra Stephenson, Patrick Kielty, Ed Byrne and Jack Whitehall. There are also appearances by Chris Moyles, Dermot O’Leary, Julian Clary and Fearne Cotton. And of course no night with Davina could be complete without a large showing from her television offspring, the Big Brother contestants, including; Brian Dowling, Nikki Grahame, Sophie Reade, Brian Belo and Sam Pepper.

9.00pm The Mentalist Five – Third series of the US crime drama.
