Doll and Em Gets a Second Series

Radio Times today announced that Sky Living have commissioned a second series of comedy Doll and Em.

The programme was written and created by British actresses Dolly Wells and Emily Mortimer who both played exaggerated versions of themselves.

The first series saw Emily hire Dolly as her assistant which led to some disastrous mishaps and blazing arguments along the way. Several big names also cameoed in the first series including Susan Sarandon, Bradley Cooper and Chloe Sevigny.

The second series will move the action from L.A. to New York and promises to feature more famous faces alongside the two leading actresses.

Sky Living Channel Director Antonia Hurford-Jones says of the news,“I am extremely pleased to be able to confirm that Doll & Em will be returning to Sky Living next year. I’m so proud to have such an outstanding series on the channel. The extraordinarily smart, brilliantly funny way Dolly and Emily bring the universal theme of female friendship alive makes it the perfect series for Living.  I hope our customers are as excited as I am about series 2.”
